Local group seeks cast for short film to be filmed in Sonora

Centerstage Media Project is looking for local talent for its next short-film project based on the Miracle of Fatima, a series of events reported to have miraculously occurred on Oct. 13, 1917, in Fatima, Portugal.

Producers are looking for 10 children ages 7-12, three of whom will have speaking parts; one lead role — Francesco — for a boy age 7-11; 30-50 adult extras, several of whom may have one line; and 5-12 sheep.

The shoot will take place in the last two weeks of April in Sonora and will take five to seven days. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.

For consideration, rate of pay, child work permit or more information, call (209) 768-8546.

Centerstage Media is a small nonprofit organization in Tuolumne County dedicated to the performing arts. Its most recent project, a short film called “Troubled Treasure,” was shot in early September at various locations in Tuolumne County using mostly local talent, including actors and production crew. It will air on Access Tuolumne when post-production is completed.
