Horse rescue invites public to anniversary celebration

Chester & Push Horse Rescue in Sonora will celebrate its third anniversary Saturday, May 21, and invites the public to join.

The celebration will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the rescue, 8926 Fraguero Road.

The event will include live music by James Faifua and the Jukes, an auction and raffle, visits with the rescue's horses, and a catered dinner including gazpacho shooters, specialty breads, barbecued pork loin roast, a pasta bar and more. Tickets cost $50 per person and can be purchased online at chesterandpushhorserescue.org.

Chester & Push was founded in 2019 by Sharon Robinson and Mark Hanson with horses, Chester, Push and Dakota. The rescue has since grown to include 18 horses, some of which are available for adoption. The rescue offers equestrian therapy services for children and adults with anxiety, depression, autism, Down syndrome and other illnesses.
