The walking dead to take to the streets of Sonora

Sonora shoppers might get a scare this weekend when zombies invade downtown during the 11th annual The Walking Dead Sonora Zombie Walk.

The event will have a few changes this year, but zombies of all ages are welcome to participate.

Participants should meet at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, on Linoberg

Street between Washington and Stewart streets. Make-up will not be provided at the event this year, but appointments can be made at La ti Da Salon (209-768-3021) for those who need help creating their living-dead look. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.

Participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Amador-tuolumne Community Action Agency food bank.
