Friends of the Tuolumne County Library book sale will be held outdoors
Friends of the Tuolumne County Library will hold an Outdoor Book Sale Friday, May 14, in Sonora.
Gently used books will be sold at bargain prices from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tuolumne County Library on Greenley Road in Sonora.
Books will be priced from 25 cents to $1 until 3 p.m., at which time books will cost $5 for a grocery bag full until the sale's end.
Nearly all items at the FTCL'S Book Nook, located at the library, will be half-price during the book sale's hours.
Funds raised will be used to support library programs, including the purchase of new books, e-books, software and materials; funding of children's activity, reading and after-school programs; support of the Adult Literacy Program, and updated furnishings and facilities at all library branches.
Additional chapters of Friends of the Library support activities and services at branch libraries in Twain Harte, Groveland and Tuolumne.
For more information about the sale or membership in FTCL, call (209) 965-0569.
